Artificial Intelligence in the holiday season: how we combine human creativity and digital tools to create our holiday greeting message

At Sabiá, our goal when creating year-end messages is not just to celebrate the moment. We also seek to propose relevant reflections on what we are experiencing as a market and society. This year, with artificial intelligence at the center of discussions, we decided to follow a different path. Instead of reinforcing only what technology is capable of doing, we asked a provocative question:

I wonder if AI would be impressed by our humanity?

This question became the starting point for the creation of our holiday greeting video—a project that combined human creativity with different artificial intelligence tools.

The starting point: capturing the human

The first step was simple: ask each person on the team to record short videos following a previously drafted script. These short videos served as the raw material for the project. From them, we began exploring how different AI tools could help us transform these ideas into a unique visual narrative.

At this point, tools came into play such as:

  • ChatGPT

  • Midjourney

  • Runway (Act-One)

They were used to structure concepts, visually create the characters, and begin the animations.

The creative process with AI

Throughout the project, we structured a workflow that combined various technologies with human creative intervention.

1. Definition of the concept

We start from the central question about humanity and technology and structure an initial script with the team's participation.

Collection of human material

Each team member recorded short videos that served as the basis for creating the digital characters.

3. Avatar creation

With the support of ChatGPT, we developed a base prompt that was replicated to generate the avatars. Initially we tested Runway, but the visual quality did not reach the expected level. Therefore, we created custom avatars in MidJourney, using detailed prompts to ensure:

  • visual consistency

  • cohesive aesthetic

  • style inspired by high-quality animations

At that moment, characters based on team members appeared, such as:

Vanessa Sensato (Director of Strategy and Innovation)

Niedja Anjos (Head of Customer Service)

Pedro Braga (Executive Director)

4. Character voice and animation

To bring the avatars to life, we integrated different tools:

  • HeyGen video generation with avatars

  • ElevenLabs → dubbing and intonation adjustments

  • Runway character synchronization and animation

These tools were combined with internally recorded audio, creating a more natural result.

5. Editing and final refinement

In the final stage, the material was refined in Adobe Premiere, which allowed:

  • automatic sound settings

  • video quality improvement

  • final scene synchronization

We also use Adobe Firefly for minor visual adjustments.

The result was a cohesive, visually consistent final video aligned with the initial creative concept.

Throughout the process, we used a mix of tools that demonstrated the collaborative potential between human creativity and emerging technologies. ChatGPT helped us structure ideas, while Adobe Firefly served as a complementary resource for minor design adjustments. The result reflects Sabiá's innovation and unique perspective on the possibilities that AI offers when aligned with a creative vision.
